In 6th Music Appreciation, we extend upon the music concepts learned in elementary school. Widely music theory-based, students will gain a deeper understanding of the functions of the elements of music and how those elements work together to make music composition. Among other things students will engage in music enrichment activities like music analysis and discussion about the relationship between music and culture. Students will be given in-class time to complete both independent and group activities. Any work that is not completed during that time will turn into homework.
Students who miss class for ANY reason are responsible for learning about the work they missed, catching up on notes, and turning in any missing work as soon as possible.
